Heavy Gear II

I worked at Activision until Sept 1998. This is the only title/team I’ve ever left before it was finished.
I worked on this title for about 5 months in 1998, after completing I’76 Arsenal. I built some really cool explosions of buildings, lasers that pulsed down their length, and explosion rings that followed the surface of the terrain. I left when I couldn’t stand working with the people that were managing the game. We had a pompous french programmer, and a managing director who’s previous job was as a bartender. All were completely full of themselves, and maybe I was a bit too. Either way, it wasn’t working out for me, so I left to move up to the Bay Area and work for Accolade.
They never gave me credit for my work in this game, yet nearly all the work I did was in the final product. No game had ever had exploding buildings like the ones I had did here.
